Money Challenge

A good way of testing a Cub’s Scouting knowledge is going the money challenge. Basically works like one of those team building exercises we’ve done at summer camp before; Cubs are encouraged to work as a team to complete a number of challenges. (See image for the challenges that the G49 used).

Leaders then award Cubs ‘Scout Money’ (G49 used photocopies of special G49 money but Monopoly money would do) and the six with the most money at the end wins.

Less money was awarded for semi-complete tasks (such as a paper airplane not spanning whole length of room but almost getting there)

We did this by having 1 banker and the rest of the leaders dotted around the room for sixes to go to when they wanted to prove they could do something and get it signed off
